Vijiay Vs Anushka

Set in backdrops of Tuticorin, Ravi (Vijay) is a happy-go-lucky youngster, who adores Devraj IPS as his role model and aspires to be a cop like him. But then, he has passed his 12th Std exams even after 3 attempts. Luckily, he’s done with the pending subjects with successful grade on the next attempt and flees to Chennai to join a college and fulfill his dream.

Vividly inspired by Devraj IPS, Ravi earns his livelihood by driving auto after his college hours. He is still dreaming about his dream angel SusheelaVedanayagam (Anushka) he met her over the train while journeying from Tuticorin to Chennai and later meets her again. Everything is fine for Ravi until he comes across a troublesome Chella, son a roughneck (Salim Ghosh), who has control over entire Chennai.

Clashes do takes place between Ravi and the baddies and there we have a shocking fact about Devraj IPS, who has lost his career, eyesight and his family because of Vedanayagam.

Now, Ravi vows to overthrow the realms of baddies and starts striking with his fists of actions that move in a much cliched way.

Vijay has come up delivering his earnest efforts for better results. It’s surprising to see that the first half doesn’t has any stunt sequences or punch dialogues (until pre-interval fight), but the latter part is so overdosed with these elements. There are more traces of ‘Bhagavathy’ of Vijay taking law into his hands with his group of friends to bring down Vedanayagam and co. Anushka, the bootylicious missy offers a great show of glamorous treat and she dances extremely well.

Salim Ghosh does justice to his role with his dialogue delivery and makeover. There aren’t any specified comedians in the film and Vijay scores brownie points on these quotients. The person enacting the role of Devraj IPS requires special mention, though he reminds off Nasser in Dharani Dhill (the same characterization of a cop affected by baddies).

Technically, the camerawork and editing disappoints you as the technicians have been repeating the same shots and angle placements as in previous Vijay’s films. Vijay Antony’s musical score adds more strength to the film and placement of songs are perfect. But, some of his background score reminds us off ‘Tirupatchi’. ‘Oru Chinna Thamarai’ and ‘Uchimandaiyla’ are sure to be grand treats for those who expect a lot from Vijays dance.

Babu Sivan has crafted an entertaining first half (90mins) that is so racy and you won’t feel the long duration. But the second half (75mins) is neatly tailored with cliched moments of hero offending villain, villain bumping of hero’s friend and finally settling the scores. The climax sequence of Salim Ghosh’s death has been done innovatively where the hero remains just as a propeller.

Finally, it’s a not-good-not-bad situation when it comes about marking verdicts for ‘Vettaikaran’. If Babu Sivan had well-crafted the screenplay in second half, then this film would have been an excellent entertainer. But overdosed stunts and loud dialogues act as a spoiler for the laudable presentation in first half.

With Sun Pictures involved vigorous promotions, the film has probabilities of becoming a top-drawer at box office.

ரஜினி படத்திற்கு தான் இப்படி ஒரு ஓபனிங்கைப் பார்த்திருக்கிறேன். ரஜினியின் அடுத்த வாரிசாக தமிழ் ரசிகர்களால் அறியப்பட்டாலும், விஜய்யின் இந்த உயரம் நிஜமாகவே பிரமிக்க வைக்கிறது! தியேட்டருக்கு போகும்போது இன்னோரு தியேட்டரைக் கடக்க வேண்டி வந்தது. பத்து நிமிடம் ட்ராஃபிக் ஜாமாகுமளவு கூட்டம். தியேட்டரின் எல்லா பக்கங்களிலும் நீஈஈஈஈள நீஈஈஈஈள ஃப்ளக்ஸ் பேனர்கள். பேனர்களில், எஸ்.ஏ.சி, விஜய், சஞ்சய் என்று தலைமுறைகள்! ஹாட்ஸ் ஆஃப் டு யூ விஜய்!

தூத்துக்குடியில் வசிக்கும் 4 முறை எழுதி +2 பாஸ் செய்யும் ரவி என்கிற போலீஸ் ரவி , இவருடைய லட்சியமெல்லாம் இவரை இம்ப்ரஸ் செய்த தேவராஜ் ஐபிஎஸ் எனும் போலீஸ் அதிகாரியை போல் ஆக வேண்டும் என்று. மூச்சுக்கு முன்னூறு தடவை தேவராஜ் புகழ் பாடுகிறார் வீட்டுக்கு வெளியே 50 அடியில் கட்டவுட் வைக்கும் அளவுக்கு பற்று.ஊருக்குள்ள போலீஸ் முதல் எல்லோரையும் பின்னி பெடலெடுக்கிறார் அங்கே போடுகிறார் ஒரு பாட்டு நான் அடிச்சா தாங்க மாட்ட பாட்டின் ஓப்பனிங்கில் ஒரு பில்லரை கையால் பதம் பார்க்க கம்பியை மட்டும் விட்டு விட்டு பில்லர் பொல பொலவென உதறுகிறது.

ஒரு வழியாக 4 வது அட்டம்ப்டில் பாஸாகி தேவராஜ் படித்த கல்லூரியில் படிக்க சென்னை செல்கிறார். சென்னை செல்லும் வழியில் ரயில்வே ஸ்டேசனில் சுசிலாவை காண்கிறார் காதல் கொள்கிறார். சுசிலாவை மடக்க அவருடைய பாட்டிக்கு ப்ராக்கெட் போடுகிறார். சென்னை செல்லும் ரவி ஆட்டோ ஓட்டிக்கொண்டே படிப்பை தொடர்கிறார் அவருடைய ஆதர்ஷ நாயகன் தேவராஜ் போல.

செல்லானு ஒரு ரௌடி சென்னையை கைக்குள் வச்சிருக்கான் அவன் ஒரு பொண்ணை ஆசைப்பட்டால் அவளுடைய குடும்பத்திற்கு டார்ச்சர் கொடுத்து பொண்ணை அடைந்துவிடுவான். ஒரு சாம்பிளும் காட்டப்படுகிறது. விஜயின் வகுப்பு தோழியாக வரும் உமா(தீபிகா படுகோன் தங்கச்சி ஆனாலும் அட்ராக்சன் இல்லை). இவருடைய தந்தையின் டிராவல்ஸில் ஆட்டோ வாடகைக்கு ஓட்டுகிறார். செல்லா உமாவை ஆசைப்பட அதைக்கேட்டு பொங்கி எழும் விஜய் வில்லன் அன்கோவை துவம்சம் செய்கிறார் . செல்லா அடிவாங்கி ஓய்ந்தார் ஒரு வழியா படம் முடிஞ்சுச்சுனு பார்த்தா அங்க தான் வேட்டைக்காரன் ஆரம்பிக்கிருறார்.

போலீஸ் பலம் கொண்டு செல்லாவின் அப்பா வேதநாயகம் ரவியை என்கவுண்டரில் போட ரெடி செய்கிறார். என்கவுண்டரில் வழக்கம் போல தப்பிக்கும் ரவி அவரைப்போலவே வேதநாயகம் அன்கோவால் பாதிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கும் தேவராஜ் உடன் சேர்ந்து மானாவாரியா வில்லன் கோஷ்டிகளை பந்தாடுகிறார். சிட்டியை க்ளின் செய்கிறார்.எங்கோ கேட்ட இல்லை இல்லை பார்த்த கதை மாதிரி இருக்கா ம்ம்ம் கொஞ்சம் திருப்பாச்சி, போக்கிரி, வில்லு எல்லாம் கலந்த கலவை தான்.ஆதியையும் சேர்த்துக்கங்க.

படத்தில் குறிப்பிட தகுந்த அம்சம் அனுக்‌ஷா தான் செம பிகருங்க. நல்லா இருக்கார் பாட்டிற்கும் சில சீன்களுக்கும் வந்து போகிறார். படம் முழுக்க விஜயை சுத்தி நகருகிறது. நிறைய அறிமுகம் இல்லாத முகங்கள் என்பதால் விஜயை வளைத்து வளைத்து காமிரா காட்டியிருக்கிறது.

வில்லன் போலீஸா வரும் ஷாயாஷி சிண்டே பெருசா ஒன்னுமில்ல அங்க அங்க வரும் மனோபாலாவும் சிரிப்புக்கு உதவவில்லை. விஜய் கூடவே ஒட்டிக்கொண்டிருக்கும் சத்யனும் சிரிக்க வைக்கவில்லை ஆனாலும் விஜய் அந்த வேலையை ஒழுங்கா செய்யுறாரு.

பாடல்கள் நல்லா இருக்கு கேக்கவும் பாக்கவும். ஆனாலும் பாடல்களில் ஆட்டம் குறைவு . பஞ்ச் டயலாக்குகளும் காணோம்.

One of the best kept secrets of ‘Vettaikkaran’ is out. In the song ‘Karikaalan kaalai pola…’, Vijay is appearing in the getup of a young woman for less than a minute and shakes legs with Anushka.

“Vijay wanted to give a surprise to his fans. Hence he opted for a getup change and appeared as a pretty woman in ‘Karikaalan…’ song. The costumes, including a ‘paavadai’, ‘sattai’, ‘valayal’ and ‘jadai’ were specially designed by Nalini Sriram,” said a source close to ‘Vettaikkaran’ unit.

The source added more: “Everyone including director Babu Sivan and heroine Anushka were stunned to see Vijay in the attire of a lady. And the dance movements he made with those costumes would sure leave any actress in awe.”

Saying that a huge set was erected to shoot ‘En uchi mandaila….’, the other song in the movie, the source claimed, “the number would literally rock cinema halls and music channels once the film is released. Adding to the grandeur of the set are the dance movements by Vijay and Anushka. It would be another ‘Appadi podu…’ for Vijay.”

‘Vettaikkaran’, produced by AVM and marketed by Sun Pictures, would also have a cameo by Vijay’s son Jason Sanjay. The film would hit the theatres this Friday.

Finally good news for all Vijay fans. Sun Pictures who has acquired Vettaikaran movie rights, has now confirmed that the film will hit screens during Christmas on December 18. Its time for Vijay fans to give order for their favourite Vijay vinyl flexes to erect in front of theatres, buy litres of milk for milk abhishegam which has been a tradition followed for each of his release, give wholesale order for crackers.

The trailer of the movie is expected around December first week as Sun pictures usually screen the trailers two weeks early to the release, we wont be surprised even if they start screening from November end.

Vettaikaran songs will be releasing on September 23. Now this sunday we are back yet again with an exclusive news. The audio rights have been bagged by the audio marketing group of the Sathyam Cinemas, Think Music.

There are five songs in the album, and one bit title song. Last week Vijay and Anushka has completed a week long shoot in Pollachi. Later, they shot a song near Athirapilly waterfalls in Chalakudy, Kerala. Now they are completing some street scenes in and around Chennai.

This is not the news that we were talking about. The big news is that the audio is going to launched in a grand way at Lady Andal School. It is expected that this event will be a star studded event as Vijay has always been a good friend and well wisher to many in the industry. Also talk in the tinsel town is that Superstar Rajini may grace this occasion as he is currently working on a movie produced by Sun Pictures. This event will be telecasted on Sun TV but might not be live as we expected. May be it will be a weekend attraction which will attract more watchers.

As the audio release of Vijay’s much expected Vettaikaran Songs is getting nearer, the exitement of Vijay fans has reached newer heights with everyone eagerly awaiting the release date.

Our sources provided us with a news which says the audio might tentatively be released on the 17th of September in a grand function to be held with Kamal Hassan as the chief guest. There are also likely plans to invite Amitabh Bachan for the event to receive the first copy of the audio.

This news is not yet officially confirmed, we might know the exact date and whos who of the event by September 15th. Whichever date it is going to be, its a real festival day for all Vijay fans waiting in anxiety to grab the vettaikaran Songs.

The purchase of Vijay’s forthcoming film by Sun Pictures, a part of the all powerful media group Sun TV Network, is expected to give him immense publicity mileage. The director of the film promised that the film will be a complete commercial one with great songs, action sequences and a message.

While reporting he said that people say his compositions are full of energy. But when they combine with Vijay’s energetic steps the effect is bound to be some thing else, he added
