Vettaikkaaran Movie began on March 9, 2009 The filming took place in Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh where film’s title song was choreographed and filmed with Vijay, his son and 90 junior artists.
The tight first schedule was completed in Andhra. The second schedule of shooting of the film was in Chennai. A stunt sequence was filmed a couple of days back in Alwarpet and adjacent areas. An action scene involving Vijay was choreographed along with stunt artists
